Jade

For thousands of years, good quality jade has been a beloved gem due to its rich history, beauty, toughness, durability and rarity. Jade is mainly classified into two categories: jadeite and nephrite. Jadeite Jade is also known as “Fei Cui” in the trade. “Fei Cui” is the traditional Chinese term for jadeite, which is a rock composed of an aggregate of interlocking grains from three major mineral components, jadeite, omphacite and kosmochlor.

Jadeite occurs in various colors, including green, lavender, yellow, red, black and colorless.
